Bug fixes and new features in Sentient Trader
Version 4.0.2.0
- The Sentient Trader installer will now be downloaded inside a .zip file. Along with the installer the .zip file will also contain all dependencies necessary to install the software. After downloading the .zip file simply extract all files then run the sentient_trader_v[version number].exe file.
For more information about .zip files and how to extract them, take a look at this page.
- We're very excited to announce that Barchart has been added as a new data provider for Sentient Trader.
Check out the available data from this page.
- Sentient Trader has been upgraded to the latest .NET framework, providing the latest Windows libraries.
- A new option has been added to speed up the analysis (add details before publishing).
- It is now possible to displace the Average Lines into the future.
This effectively means that you can now plot "smoothed FLDs" on your charts.
- There is now the option to save the Average Lines applied to the chart as the default which can then be applied to other charts.
- The CML is now automatically built and all cycles are included in the line when the CML button is clicked.
- Fixed an issue which prevented part of the FLD from being displayed.
- Fixed an issue that caused the CML to crash the software when there were no correctly synchronized troughs or peaks.
- Some issues with re-sizing the Cycle Lines have been fixed.
- If an ASCII data file includes lines that are invalid, then the software will now ignore those lines.
- Corrupt MetaTrader4 data files in the History folder will now be ignored by Sentient Trader.
- Fixed a crash caused by DTN IQfeed sending through its summary message before sending through any historical data.
- Fixed a loop that caused repeated "Server Downtime" error messages to be displayed if the connection to the licencing database was lost.
- Fixed an issue which caused the chart labels to be hidden if the Y-axis was too wide.
- Fixed an issue that caused the mouse to flicker when scaling the X or Y-axis.
- Fixed an issue caused by having only a single complex harmonic ratio in the nominal model. In nominal models with only a single complex harmonic ratio, Sentient Trader will now force synchronicity on the model.
- The name of the setting Tools> Options> Colour of Scales has been changed to Color of text on chart.
- For aesthetic purposes a small gap has been added between candlestick bars.
- We are testing a fix for an issue with intraday NinjaTrader data. Sentient Trader now searches backwards for the underscore character in NinjaTrader data files.
In some territories the symbol name includes an underscore character.
Beta v. 4.0.1.36
- The option Graduated background has been added to Tools> Options> Chart tab. This option is checked by default. Unchecking it will give charts flat backgrounds.
- Charts saved without an analysis will now not run an analysis automatically on being reopened. This makes it possible to have charts that only display the envelopes.
Make sure that the option Tools> Options> Analysis tab Ask before updating is unchecked, otherwise Sentient Trader will constantly ask to update the analysis.
- The option Tools> Options> General tab Delay chart updates by x seconds when pinning has been changed to Delay chart refresh by x milliseconds to better reflect its functionality.
This option will now be set to 100 by default. This will also reset the option for users who were working with a higher value.
- The Growl dependency has been removed from Sentient Trader. On systems without Growl a reminder window will no longer be displayed asking to install Growl.
Growl can still be used with Sentient Trader.
- In Forecast scans the default file name will now include the name of the watchlist.
- Fixed an issue with the peak analysis when the variation in cycle lengths placed peaks at exactly the positions of 150% and 65% of the nominal model.
- Handled a spurious Windows-generated graphics out-of-memory error.
- Fixed a context menu unhandled error.
- Added additional logging to trace the cause of each system shutdown.
- Added additional logging to trace the cause of an incoming data timestamp date calculation error.
Beta v. 4.0.1.24
- The plotting of the zig-zags has been updated so the zig-zag is plotted as three lines to show the expected price movement.
As opposed to the previous style of a single "cycle move" line with a cross line.
- Fixed an issue with the scan watchlist feature when the watchlist contained one or more charts with a dual analysis.
This fix should also solve issues with opening workspace collections.
- It is now possible to copy the forecast scan results. Below the forecast scan results grid there is a new button: Copy - clicking on it will copy the selected rows, cells or columns to the clipboard.
- The forecast scan results are now shown as an independent window on the taskbar to avoid them being hidden behind other windows.
- The forecast scan will now show all cycles in the nominal model.
- Fixed an issue which caused the pinning line to be drawn incorrectly on a chart with logarithmic scaling.
- Fixed a text mistake which mislabeled a pinned peak as a trough.
- Fixed an issue which caused a mismatch between the colors of cycles in the cyclic model table and the cycles in the chart.
- An option has been added which will reduce the GDI+ memory consumption of the graphics routines. The option is under Tools> Options> General tab Minimize graphic memory allocation.
Checking this option may cause unwanted flickering, lag or other graphics issues.
Beta v. 4.0.1.19
- There is a new option in the dropdown menu for the cycle lines: Lock to price. If this is not checked the cycle lines will display as they have been until now: at a Fibonacci ratio on the chart (if the chart is resized then the cycle lines will be displayed at the same relative position on the chart). If this option is checked then the cycle lines will lock to a certain price, meaning that if the zoom scale is changed then the cycle lines will remain displayed centered around that price level. Moving the position of the cycle lines will automatically select Lock to price and lock the lines to the price they have been moved to.
If the cycle lines are locked to price then zooming in may cause them to disappear above or below price. Simply uncheck Lock to price to resolve this issue.
- The way in which cycle lines are modified on the chart has been changed. The area from which the cycle lines can be moved or scaled is now to the right of the chart near the price scale.
N.B. The width of the zone used to move or scale the cycle lines is the same width as the price scale itself. If the price scale is very narrow then the zone to modify the cycle lines will also be very narrow.
- Wherever the cycle lines extend behind the Y-axis it is now possible to adjust the Y-axis.
- The position of the cycle lines on each chart will now be saved when the workspace is saved.
- Bar counts will now be saved when the workspace is saved. The position of the bar counts on each chart will also be saved.
- When using the bar counting tool, clicking above the price will now position the bar count above the price (assuming the count is being made from a peak). Clicking below the price will now position the bar count below the price (assuming the count is being made from a trough).
- Fixed an issue which prevented peaks from being pinned if trough pinning was used first.
- Fixed an issue which prevented the pinning line from being drawn to the peaks on charts with logarithmic scaling.
- Coding has been added to locate the source of an "out of memory" exception.
Beta v. 4.0.1.18
- Fixed an issue which prevented peak custom nominal models from being saved.
- Additional logging code has been added in order to find the cause of an issue with creating Expert models.
Beta v. 4.0.1.17
- Fixed an issue when using DTN IQFeed data.
- Fixed the issue which caused charts with dual analyses to revert to a troughs-only analysis when closed during the analysis.
Beta v. 4.0.1.13
- Sentient Trader will now memorize the timeframe which each chart is visualized in.
- Fixed an issue that caused a crash if, after being prompted to browse to the data file for the workspace being opened, the selected file didn't exist.
If this happens the loading of the chart will simply fail.
- Fixed an issue which caused a crash if Select all in the dropdown menu for the cycle lines was clicked before an analysis was performed on the chart.
- Partially fixed an issue which caused charts with dual analyses to revert to a troughs-only analysis when closed during the analysis.
- Additional logging code has been added in order to find the cause of an issue with the Envelopes on an inherited chart.
Beta v. 4.0.1.12
- Fixed an issue displaying the Composite Model Line on workspaces with complex harmonic ratios.
- Fixed an overflow error caused by the Composite Model Line being plotted with no cycles selected.
Beta v. 4.0.1.11
- Fixed an issue with trough pinning on charts with weekly or monthly compression, caused by the feature Hide shorter cycles when zoomed out (under Tools> Options> Chart tab).
- Fixed an issue opening MetaStock data on a system without a previous installation.
Beta v. 4.0.1.9
- Fixed an issue when using DTN IQFeed data caused by the new feature Reduce data load to increase efficiency. This feature can now be selected on charts using DTN IQFeed data.
- Fixed an issue caused by custom folder names with symbols in them inside the NinjaTrader data folder.
Version 4.0.1.8
Beta v. 4.0.1.6
- It is now possible to base the moving averages on trading bars only. The option has been added to the Moving average settings. This allows one or more specific average lines to be based on trading bars only.
More detailed information can be found here.
- Fixed an issue with sending trades to MetaTrader4.
- Fixed an issue with opening existing MetaStock workspaces.
New MetaStock workspaces cannot currently be created due to pending changes to the MetaStock integration.
Beta v. 4.0.1.3
- It is now possible to send trades to MetaTrader4 from a chart receiving live data from a different source.
Caution is recommended when using this feature due to possible differences in price values.
Beta v. 4.0.1.2
- Fixed some installation issues caused by the removal of the IB TWS integration.
Beta v. 4.0.1.0
- It is now possible to plot Average Lines on all Sentient Trader charts. To do so a new button has been added to the Cycle Tools bar: Average Lines. Clicking on it will show the lines or open the Moving average settings window if they haven't been set up yet. At any time, clicking on the dropdown arrow to the right of the button gives access to the Moving average settings. From there it is possible to define the number of lines and their individual characteristics.
More detailed information can be found here.
- The MetaStock data integration has been temporarily removed from the installer pending upgrades.
- The IB TWS data integration has been temporarily removed from the installer pending upgrades.
- It is now possible to return the licence to the server manually by going to Help> Return licence to server.
- The option Ask about returning license when closing has been added to the General tab under Tools> Options. Unchecking it will prevent Sentient Trader from asking to return the licence to the server when the software is shut down.
This only applies to users with a licence activated on more than one system.
- Fixed an issue in the expert model trace code which caused some expert models to crash the software.
- Fixed an issue which caused a crash if an expert model containing no dates was viewed.
Beta v. 4.0.0.24
- Envelopes can now be drawn on all Sentient Trader charts. To do so a new button has been added to the Cycle Tools bar: Envelopes. Clicking on it will show envelopes or open the Envelope settings window if they haven't been set up yet. At any time, clicking on the dropdown arrow to the right of the button gives access to the Envelope settings. From there it is possible to define the number of envelopes and their individual characteristics.
More detailed information can be found here.
- The analysis process is now much more thoroughly described in the status bar. Because the analysis process is effectively a pattern recognition process it is dynamic and varies slightly for each chart. This information can be used to find the stage in which issues are occurring in the analysis process.
It is now possible to log this process in detail. The setting can be found in Tools> Options> Analysis tab Detailed logging Warning consumes CPU. This setting should only be selected if an issue is present and the logging information has been requested by a technician. For issues with analysis efficiency please contact support.
- An option has been added to improve efficiency on intraday charts. The option is in Tools> Options> Analysis tab Reduce data load to increase efficiency. With this setting checked intraday charts will only load the data they need, plus a buffer.
This setting significantly increases efficiency on intraday charts. This setting is selected by default and has no effect on the EOD chart. It is strongly advised to use this feature on all charts.
- The full amount of data available in DTN IQFeed can now be loaded in Sentient Trader.
Additional coding has been added to log any errors with the DTN IQFeed data loading process.
- There is a new feature: Hide shorter cycles when zoomed out. This option can be found under Tools> Options> Chart tab. If that setting is checked then zooming out will cause the shorter cycles to be hidden from view.
- The button for switching between a trough, a peak and a dual (trough and peak) analysis has been updated. Clicking on the button on the toolbar will toggle between these three modes in the following order:
- Trough analysis
- Dual analysis
- Peak analysis
It is now also possible to click on the arrow to the right of the button and choose one of these options from a dropdown list.
- When the analysis is switched between a trough analysis, a peak analysis or a dual analysis Sentient Trader will now ask whether to analyse now or later.
- The option to add watermarks to charts has been implemented. The options for the watermark can be found under Tools> Options> Watermark tab. To display the watermark one or both the options Show symbol in watermark and/or Show timeframe in watermark must be selected. Deselecting both will remove the watermark. Other options such as font, size and transparency can be found in the watermark tab.
More detailed information can be found here.
- Cycle projections in the analysis summary panel are now colored according the cycle to which they refer, making it easier to identify the projections for the cycle you are interested in.
- Expert models can now be built on charts with data which uses a mixture of daily and monthly timeframes.
- Plotting of the expert model trough ranges will now be correct when the chart is being displayed in a compression that does not match the original data compression.
Such as viewing daily data with a monthly compression.
- Some minor changes have been made to the expert model chart plotting routine.
- Trace code has been added to log expert model errors in more detail.
- The line that was plotted above expert model trough ranges has been removed.
- The x-axis can now be displayed in decades for very long data series.
- The zig-zags will now be displayed even if the phasing information isn't displayed.
- The splashscreen shown on startup can now be moved. This can be done by clicking anywhere on the splashscreen and dragging.
- Fixed a bug which prevented the CML from being drawn on charts using custom nominal models with complex harmonic ratios.
- Fixed an issue that caused workspace collections to open with all charts visible simultaneously.
- Fixed an issue which caused the MT4 spread to be averaged over ever increasing periods. The MT4 spread will now show short-term fluctuations in ST.
- Fixed an issue which prevented the Trade Settings from being saved if the Enter key was pressed to exit the Trade Settings window.
- Fixed an issue which prevented ST from opening ASCII data because of non-ASCII characters present in a column set to "Ignore".
- Fixed an issue with monthly data which caused the wrong date to be displayed in the future.
- Fixed an issue which caused the same message about exporting the cyclic model data to be shown both when Export all charts automatically on completion of analysis was ticked or unticked (under File> Export Cyclic Model data).
- Fixed a bug which caused a crash when exiting a trade.
- Fixed a toolstrip painting error.
- Fixed a bug which occurred when a certain cycle was selected in the Commonality Models window.
- Sentient Trader will now ignore MT4 data files that it is not able to read. This fixes an issue which causes a crash when very large data files are present in the MT4 data folder.
Along with ignoring files that cannot be opened code has also been added to log any errors with this process. If a data file in your MT4 data folder cannot be visualised in Sentient Trader please contact support. We will provide instructions to send us your log file so that we can fix the issue.
- There is a new setting which solves an issue that caused ST to combine two bars into one due to a severe timezone difference.
The new setting defines the hour at which the day starts when receiving live data. The setting can be found in the Data menu under Day starts at.
- By default this setting will be set to 00:00.
- There is also the option to set the default time that the day starts for all charts. This option changes the default for new charts but has no effect on pre-existing charts. The feature can be found under Tools> Options> Data tab under Day starts at hour. By default this is set to 00:00.
- When incoming live data passes the hour the data will be assigned to the next day bar.
- This only affects live data.
This option will only be visible to Intraday users.
- In the analysis summary panel a down cycle will now be shown to have a strength of -1.
- The Today button when choosing a date in the Analysis Period window has been removed.
This button caused a crash under some circumstances.
Beta v. 4.0.0.6
- A feature has been added which will automatically delete corrupt nominal model files.
Beta v. 4.0.0.5
- The option to show or hide the Cycle Toolbar has been moved out of the View menu. There is now a button on the far right of the toolbar: Cycle Bar, which displays or hides the Cycle Toolbar.
- Fixed an issue with Windows moving sub-windows when they are not active. The chart layout will now always be saved.
- Cancelling the analysis on a chart with a trough & peak analysis will no longer revert it to a troughs-only analysis.
Beta v. 4.0.0.4
- It is now possible to send trades to Metatrader 4 from charts receiving data from sources other than MT4.
- The chart must be receiving live data: trades cannot be sent from a chart that is not receiving live data.
- Go to Tools> Trade Settings and ensure that the trading symbol matches MT4's symbol name.
- To connect go to Trading> Click-to-Trade and select Metatrader 4.
- Be careful that small discrepancies in price don't cause problems. For that reason it is advisable to check an MT4 chart of the instrument while trading.
- It is now possible to change the width of the price scale by clicking on the Y axis (on the margin between the chart and the price scale) and dragging it left or right.
- It is now also possible to adjust the width of the price scale by going to Tools> Options > Chart tab, where the first setting is Price scale width.
- An option has been added for users who encounter difficulties sending orders through to MT4. In Tools> Options> Click-To-Trade there is the setting: Disable trade size safety checks. Checking that box should enable ST to generate the orders without any problems.
It is advisable to check the risk level before submitting the trade. ST calculates its own stop loss based on recent cycle turns, which is why sometimes this stop loss level is so far from price.
- Fixed an issue which prevented the chart layout from being saved correctly.
- With multiple charts open, clicking on any part of a chart will now make that chart the active chart.
- Fixed an issue which caused the X-axis to display the wrong information when using the expert model builder.
- The expert model builder will now display the time when using intraday data.
Please note that the expert model builder is meant to be used with EOD data. This is no guarantee that building expert models with intraday data will be possible.
- Fixed an issue with IB TWS data which caused ST to request the same periods of data repeatedly, causing IB pacing violations.
- Fixed an issue with auto-saving which caused charts with a trough & peak analysis to revert to a trough-only analysis.
This fix also means that if ST is closed while a chart in a workspace is being analyzed ST will not save that workspace.
- Some small changes have been made to the Phasing menu on the toolbar. Diamonds will no longer be shown if the diamonds option is deselected.
Version 4.0.0.3
- Fixed an issue which caused the CML to drop off after the end of the data.
Version 4.0.0.2
- The "Couldn't register DLL/OCX.reg Svr failed with exit code0x3" installation error has been fixed. The installer should now install all prerequisites in the correct order.
- The "Class not registered (exception from HRESULT: 0x80040154, REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG)" error on startup has been fixed.
- A new option has been added to the CML dropdown menu: Adjust scale. This will be selected by default. Deselecting this option will still pull the CML into the range of the chart, but without further scaling.
Deselecting this option should remove anomalies in the CML caused by very long analysis periods. If the problem persists this indicates a mismatch between the cycle model and price.
Version 4.0.0.1
- Fixed an issue which crashed the software if the Build option in the CML menu was clicked before an analysis was performed.
- Fixed an issue with the pattern projection boxes which also caused the wrong text to be shown on the chart.
Users experiencing this problem - pattern projection boxes which extend far above and below the price, and/or mistakes in the text on the chart - will need to refresh the analysis before the fix manifests.
- Fixed an issue which caused ST to crash if the DTN IQFeed client was shut down while streaming live data from DTN IQFeed to Sentient Trader.
- Fixed the "weird zig-zag" issue caused by zig-zags on charts with weekly and monthly compression not realizing that they had the wrong bar numbers.
- Fixed an issue with the channel lines.
- Fixed an issue which caused the Chart menu to turn white.
Beta v. 3.0.6.64
- Fixed the "shifty pin" issue which caused DTN IQFeed data to shift, causing problems with pinned troughs.
- There is a new feature in charts with an inheritance: the Analyze Now button will have a dropdown arrow with two choices:
- Analyse this chart only and
- Analyse this chart and inherited charts
The second option will ripple changes in the analysis down the inheritance chain, while the first only analyses the current chart. Choosing one or the other option will make that option the default from then onwards. It is also possible to change the default setting by going to Tools> Options> Analysis tab Analysis button triggers all inherited charts. This will change the default to the second option (Analyse this chart and inherited charts).
- Fixed an issue which prevented deleting a pin from affecting the analysis.
- Editing a nominal model will now give the choice between trough, peak or both. If both is disabled then the trough and peak NMs are different. If both is enabled then both the trough and the peak analyses are referring to the same NM. If both analyses are using the same model and either trough or peak is selecting for editing then a new model will be created to be edited (followed by "troughs" or "peaks" in the name) and from then onwards there will be two separate NMs.
- The Rebuild composite model line button has been changed to a Build button.
- Fixed an issue with displaying the CML using logarithmic scaling.
- Fixed an issue with incorrect scaling of the CML on price data with extremely variable amplitude in the shorter cycles.
- Fixed an issue that caused the CML to be incorrectly drawn on weekly and monthly charts.
- In the dropdown menu for the composite model line it is now possible to select whether to include peaks or troughs (or both) in the CML.
- In the dropdown menu for the cycle lines it is now possible to select whether to show cycle lines for peaks or troughs (or both).
- Fixed an issue that caused data which mixed daily and monthly timeframes to crash the software.
- The option View> Show Cyclic Model Panel will now display the panel for both peaks and troughs.
- The option View> Show Analysis Summary Panel will now display the panel for both peaks and troughs.
- Fixed an issue in the calculation of percentages for the Analysis Summary Panel.
Beta v. 3.0.6.62
- Sentient Trader now has three different skins. In Tools> Options> General tab> Sentient Trader skin it is possible to choose from:
- Dark_Mood: the classic ST look with a dark background to the menu bars and the scales on charts.
- Light_Mood: this gives you light coloured menu bars and scales on charts.
- None: this uses Windows default styling, applying almost no formatting.
[N.B. The third setting should solve problems with text being too big for menus. With all three other colour options remain customisable.]
- The DTN IQFeed integration has been completely rebuilt: the last version now works with Sentient Trader and some issues from the old integration have now been solved.
- NinjaTrader v8 now works with Sentient Trader:
- Ninja Trader v8 requires the indicators to be imported from the SentientTrader_Data_NinjaTrader_8.zip file. The zip file is bundled with the ST installer and will be in the folder where ST is installed.
- To import the indicator in Ninja Trader use the menu Tools> Import> NinjaScript. You will find two indicators:
- SentientTraderEOD8 which should be attached to EOD charts in Ninja Trader. This will store the data for daily charts in ST.
- SentientTraderINTRADAY8 which will store the data for intraday charts in ST. This indicator needs to be attached to every chart required in ST (for instance daily, four hour, hourly, 15 minute, 5 minute and 1 minute).
Both indicators will write status messages to the NinjaScript Output window. This can be viewed by using the menu in NinjaTrader: File> New> NinjaScript Output.
- The indicators both also have a setting which enables you to change where the data is stored. The default path will be in your Documents\STNT folder, but you can change that to anything you like by putting the full path to the folder in that setting (N.B. there should be no \ at the end of the path name). An example of a path is:
C:\Users\user\Documents\My Dropbox\Ninja Data.
If you decide to change the path then make sure that you then set the same path in Sentient Trader. The easiest way of setting the path in ST is to add a new chart with Ninja Trader data to the workspace and click on the Change Folder menu item at the top left of the data window, browse to the folder and select it. You can also set the path to Ninja Trader data by changing the setting in ST. Go to Tools> Options> Data tab and near the bottom is NinjaTrader data folder.
- If you choose to have multiple folders for Ninja Trader data this is possible by setting the inputs on the NT indicator correctly for each chart, and then when creating the chart in ST you browse to the correct folder and choose the data. On reopening in ST the chart (or workspace) will retrieve the data from the same folder.
- Fixed various issues with the composite line which caused Sentient Trader to crash. The same underlying problem caused problems drawing the cycle lines.
- Fixed an issue which caused an excessive amplitude in some cycles when drawing the composite line.
- The composite line is now automatically scaled to the axis.
- Fixed an issue which caused the cycle lines to be displaced off from the central axis.
- The amplitude of cycle lines can now be changed and it is possible to move them: hovering over the cycle lines on your chart will change the cursor to an up-down sizing cursor.
- Click and drag down to increase the scale of the cycle lines.
- Click and drag up to reduce the scale of the cycle lines.
- When the mouse cursor is near the zero-line of the cycle lines it will change into a four-pointed 'move' cursor. Click and move your mouse to reposition the cycle lines.
- Fixed an issue which stopped the zig-zags from being displayed.
- Fixed two issues with peak pinning:
- Pinning a trough now doesn't prevent pinning a peak.
- It is possible to edit pinned peaks in Analysis> Trough pinning> Edit pinned troughs/peaks.
- After pinning a trough or a peak ST will now ask if you want to re-analyze.
[N.B. Usually pinning more than one trough or peak at a time is not a good idea.]
- Fixed a Windows out-of-memory error: this error occurs on very fast systems combined with very big high-resolution screens. Sentient Trader crashes to desktop while zooming, pinning or counting bars. The solution is a new setting found at the bottom of the General tab in Tools> Options called Delay chart updates by x milliseconds when pinning:
- Set to 0 (default) ST will update the chart every time Windows tells it the mouse has moved (this is what ST has always done).
- Our advice is to set this at 25 then see if the problem persists. If the problem still occurs move the setting up to 50 then test. If the problem continues increment by 25 at a time until the issue no longer causes a crash.
[Increasing this will be hardly noticeable but it significantly reduces memory usage during pinning, zooming and counting bars.]
- On the Tools> Options> Analysis tab there is a new setting: Perform full analysis at least every x bars.
- This is set to 30 by default.
- Change this to a lower value if you would like the analysis to be completely refreshed (instead of simply updated) more often than every 30 bars.
[Be careful with applying this setting: a high value may severely reduce efficiency on intraday charts.]
- Fixed an issue which caused saved workspaces to revert to only a trough analysis.
- Fixed an issue which caused certain FLDs not to be visible on the chart.
- Applying a nominal model now prompts ST to ask whether the NM should be applied to troughs, peaks or both.
- Fixed an issue which caused multiple nominal models with the same name to be stored.
- Fixed an issue which caused ST to crash on opening the nominal model editor: for this reason the shortest timeframe long cycles will now be displayed in is minutes.
- It is now possible to cancel the analysis during a peak analysis.
- All analysis buttons are now deactivated while running an inverted analysis.
- Fixed an issue which caused the Analyze now button to be greyed out after cancelling the analysis.
- Fixed an issue with the triad on an inverted analysis.
- Fixed an issue with the EOD version which closed the current workspace if File> Open workspace was clicked and then cancelled.
- Fixed an issue which caused trading opportunities to disappear after saving, closing and reopening.
- There is now a workaround to the problem which causes ST to crash while using the Strategy if entry and T1 are on the same bar: in Tools> Options> Click To Trade tab Process trades and orders automatically and Automatic processing delay seconds must be set to 0.
[This is not a permanent solution as the mentioned windows may be necessary. We will investigate this further for a future release.]
- It is now possible to count bars before an analysis is performed.
- ST will now open charts maximised when they are saved as such.
- The option Save all has been added to the File menu. This will save all open workspaces and ask whether to save as a collection. File> Save will now only save the active workspace. Intraday users can use the option Workspace> Save as a collection as well.
- The pop-up information boxes for FLD projection boxes (also known as "tool-tips") can now be turned off by going to Tools> Options> Chart tab and deselecting Show FLD Projection Popups.
- It is now possible to select whether to show FLDs for peaks or for troughs (or both) from the FLD dropdown menu.
- The analysis summary panel can now be set to have a white background by going to Tools> Options> General tab and selecting Analysis summary panel white background.
